There was 14th Angkor Wat International Half Marathon this morning. Attendees are more than 3,400 people from 48 countries. This event was started 14 years ago from the olympic medalist runner Yuko Arimori to support victims of land mines and HIV/AIDS. Every year, this marathon is getting bigger. There were wheel chair runners, artificial leg runners, small children, seniors and more unique runners with costumes. I was impressed runners and their achievements. I may attend the event next year.
第１４回アンコールワット国際ハーフマラソンが行われました。このマラソンは日本が誇るオリンピックメダリスト有森裕子さんが主催しているNPOによって、地雷被害者やHIV/AID被害者支援のために始まりました。今年は過去最高の３，４００人、４８カ国からの参加でした。朝６時２０分、車いすのランナーからスタート。その後２１キロ選手のスタートでした。中には義足の選手、着ぐるみの選手などいろいろな選手もいました。３キロの家族マラソンでは、小さな子ども達もたくさん参加していました。ランナーがゴールする姿は美しく、彼らの勇姿に心打たれました。来年は挑戦してみようかな。
