My new Khmer friend, Thida who works at French owned arts and craft shop took me to her company's workshop. Her company has several shops in Siem Reap and their products are all handmade in Cambodia. So I was interested in their workshop. There are nice products such as soaps, spices, candles, teas and coffee and more. I tasted their teas and coffee. They are all really good and natural taste. I bought tea and tea cup. There was an ceramic workshop as well. I used to take ceramic class when I was in Philadelphia. So I wanted to see how they make ceramic. There were some interesting design. I enjoyed watching artists's work.
新しく知り合ったクメール人の友達が働く会社の作業場を見させてもらいました。パームヤシでかごを作ったり、石けん、ろうそくなどたくさんの種類の商品を作っていました。お茶とコーヒーを試飲できるカフェもあって、おいしいお茶を頂きました。帰りにレモングラスティーとマグカップをお土産に買いました。その後、陶芸教室にも見学に行きました。以前習っていたので、どんな土でやっているのかとか興味がありました。足を動かしながら、ろくろをまわしていたので難しそうでした。そばにいた小さい男の子がとてもかわいかった。
